ORLANDO, FL. (11/10/08) –Centura Institute honored their 2008 graduates in a commencement ceremony on October 24th, at the Northland Community Church.  The ceremony included an inspiring speech by guest speaker, Ms. Florence Gamble.  “Ms. Gamble has worked in proprietary education for many years.  Her passion is education where she inspires, motivates, explains the value of an education and career to students.  She encourages students to pursue their goals and dreams through an education,” states School Director, Deborah Harrison, “She was a natural fit to address the graduating class.”

Besides the graduates receiving their diplomas, several students were awarded for their hard work and dedication.  The Richard E. McLeod Memorial Award is given to the student in each program with a high grade point average and an excellent attitude toward school, as chosen by a panel of the school’s faculty.  This year’s winners were:

Another special guest at the ceremony was graduate, Nadine Walker, who had earned her diploma last year but was unable to participate in the graduation ceremony due to injuries sustained in a terrible auto accident.  She was allowed to walk through the ceremony with the other students in order bring closure to her academic achievement.
